Dear Alan,
I thought i should write to you in hope you may take over at my club.
At this moment in time i have had to sack the manager and the backroom staff
due to the fact they lost the players respect.

We are due to lose heskey ,pennant and forsell and have two crocks dunn and izzet picking up rather large amounts of dole money, other than been left with a few kids
were right in the s***

MY Ex club captain who is respected by all the fans has told the honest truth and i foolishly tried to defend the club

Could i possibly offer you 2m pounds of my own cash per season over 5 years and david golds cheque book to rebuild this mess

PS.I know you were recently on the shortlist for the prestigious England head coach job,but this is just as an attractive position what with being freshly relegated and players jumping ship left right and center.I think you`ll find this a very realistic offer and anticipate your hasty acceptance.

I would like to see the manager changed.

A new man would get funding and support from the Board.

The current Blues Board have tried 3 times to employ Alan Curbishley and I hope they try again. Sticking the boot in on the Board will achieve nothing at all.

Not at all,it was meant as a sarcastic remark to anyone who thinks a candidate for the England job would want to come to us,serving to highlight there is absolutely nobody more qualified for the job out there. **thumbup

Thing is: how do you know is somebody is qualified unless you give them a chance.

In what way was SB qualified when he came to us? Sticking with somebody just because you are scared of change is exactly what has got us in this mess: from the board sticking with Bruce to Bruce himself buying 'proven' (ie were once good 100 years ago) players rather than take a risk on younger talent.

Everything in football involves taking a risk. There was no guarantee Mourinho would be better than Ranieri. But people can take informed gambles. Boothroyd at Wtaford, for example, has taken a relatively average team through to the play off finals. He is young and enthusiastic. Going for him would be less of a risk than a Martin Allen type.

I am not saying we must go for Boothroyd, but there are potential managers out there,. What is the point of sticking with Sb, when we know exactly what we will get: rubbish football, nonsensical tactics and crap signings.

Yes I do

I think they have shown to much loyalty to Steve Bruce even though they knew in their heads he had lost it they let their heart rule their head which is often what all fans do.

How do you know that the board have tried to recruit Curbs three times? At which points in time did this happen?

I don't think people are sticking the boot into the board per se, I think everyone is very grateful to them for what they have done for this club, myself included. I would not wish ill on them or wish them to leave.

However, the recent statement regarding Kenny's comments is quite embarassing and reeks of kneejerk "I'm not having him say that about me" type hyperbole. In addition, there is a feeling that the board have presided over a degree of implosion within the club, perhaps having taken their eye off the ball a bit and having either financially motivated and/or misguided loyalty to a man who is clearly and solely responsible for this club's relegation. They need to admit the errors and oversights, pull the club together (including the fans) by issuing positive and credible statements that are then backed up fully.

When Central TV were reviewng Sullivans 10 years at Blues in 2003 he said that he tried 3 times to get Alan Curbishely and that he thought he was the best manager in the country.

That's the only time I'd heard that and can't recall the interview, but fair enough. I was just beginning to think you were Mr Sullivan for a minute. :)
